Architectural 3D BIM is a process of developing a Parametric 3D model in “Revit” or “ArchiCAD” or any such software that supports Building Information Modeling. You can create a data-rich model from a simple conceptual drawing with dimensions, a 2D CAD plan, and elevations, or even an image or a real-time photograph with dimensions marked up. Apart from 3D Models, one can also develop Revit families, Construction Drawings, quantity take-offs, etc. with the help of BIM.

Architectural BIM services assist the construction process by providing correct and updated data about the overall design, pricing or building costs, quantities, and complete set of properties of the building components. Design modifications and project details can be seamlessly managed to eradicate design inaccuracies. The core purpose of using BIM aka Building Information Modeling is to identify miscalculations in designs and build faultless buildings. Virtual constructions help in achieving exact and precise geometric data in form of numbers and virtual model images.

By using Architectural 3D BIM, you can extract presentation viewsactual building dataimages of the exterior and interior parts of the buildingsite viewssite data, etc. Implementing BIM brings down the overall efforts and issues arising during construction.

BIM Modeling offers a facility of “file sharing” which enables an Architect or technician to work on the same model making the process more efficient and faster. It supports seamless workflow and improves the project execution process to a great extent. The BIM process ensures all the building data is in place and no loss of information takes place during coordination with multiple services. There is much software available in the market that implements BIM, out of which the most sought-after software is “REVIT. This software offers a complete range of Architectural BIM modeling services starting simple conceptual design to complex and detailed construction drawings to the final BIM model for coordination with other disciplines. It provides a high level of data that can be used by stakeholders too.

Precise BOQ and project schedules can be prepared using BIM Modeling. Architectural BIM services help in adding cost and time parameters (4D and 5D) which make this technology more viable. Using Architectural 3D BIM, a model can be developed with multiple constructability views. Virtual Construction Modeling delivers much more efficient and accurate building information than all existing and traditional methodologies.
